NEW LONDON, NH – On June 13, New London Hospital and members of the community celebrated the grand opening of the Hospital Community Trail, a one-mile trail with entrances connected to the hospital parking lot.

Through the guidance of the New London Conservation Commission (NLCC), there was collaboration between NLH, the Town of New London and Eversource to create a walking trail that connects Newport Road, Parkside Road, and the Lyon Brook Trail. This new addition to the extensive New London trail network will provide in-town opportunities for walkers, joggers and pedestrian commuters.

“We are pleased to support this important community initiative by making hospital property available for this new trail,” said NLH President and CEO, Bruce King. “We are grateful for the many hours of work that the New London Conservation Commission and the Town of New London Highway Department have spent constructing the trail so it can be enjoyed by all.”
