Communities of all sizes are doing some great work to improve access and safety for non-motorized transportation choices. Here’s a few we found to be interesting and inspiring:
Granite State Rail Trail
- The official completion of the 58-mile Northern Rail Trail between Boscawen and Lebanon was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 4, 2014. Since then many newspapers have carried articles about all the progress being made to connect the trails, especially along the 120-mile "backbone corridor" being the Granite State Rail Trail reaching Methuen MA via Manchester, Londonderry, Derry, Windham, and Salem. It is over 55% complete today.
